Lutheran World Relief Kits

Personal Care Kits

Our Renewed in Grace Fellowship Committee will be collecting items for Lutheran World Relief (LWR) personal care kits during the Lenten season. These kits are in great demand worldwide right now. Each kit will include 1 towel, 2 bars of soap, 1 toothbrush, 1 sturdy wide-tooth comb, and 1 metal nail clippers. All items should be new and in good condition. We are asking for your help.

Here are more details about each item:

Towels: Be sure to shop for light- or medium-weight towels, which are easier for Kit recipients to hand wash and air dry, take up less storage space and are considerably less expensive than the fluffier towels we personally may prefer to use. The maximum size is 52” x 27” and 20” x 40” is the minimum and dark colors should be selected. All towels must be new. Check Amazon.com for towels in bulk. An example would be Bliss Casa Cotton Gym Towels, 24” x 48” towels for hair, pool, spa, and gym – lightweight and highly absorbent quick dry towels set – pack of 6, navy.

Soap: 4.0 to 4.5 oz. bars only, any brand, in original wrapping
Toothbrushes: These are to be adult size in original packaging. Toothbrush multi-packs may be used by

sealing an individual toothbrush in a business-size envelope; no plastic bags or wrap. Combs: These should be new, sturdy wide-toothed combs, remove packaging.
Nail clippers: These should be new metal clippers (toe or fingernail). Remove packaging.

We will have boxes at each church for your donations. IF YOU CAN’T GET OUT TO SHOP, WE WILL GLADLY ACCEPT MONETARY DONATIONS WHICH YOU MAY PUT INTO THE MARKED CONTAINER NEAR THE COLLECTION BOXES. The deadline for our collection will be Sunday, April 2. THANK YOU!

Sponsors needed for our Guatemala Student

Members of  Trinity can sponsor a student in Guatemala (at David and Jenn Hope-Tringali's school).  We are asking our members to sponsors  just one month and cost is $100.  If you are interested there is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex.
Contributions should be clearly marked “Hope Academy Scholarship” and placed in the collection plate.  Thank you for supporting this important endeavor!

Lets Play Ball! @ the Senators

Renewed in Grace was invited to join the Senators Baseball Team for their faith Week! We have 30 tickets held on our behalf, all of those tickets sold through us will help benefit Renewed in Grace. It is also a great way to support the rest of our faith siblings and enjoy some baseball! There is also an opportunity for FIRST PITCH. The first person who comes to me with interest gets it! If you would like to purchase tickets for our day of Saturday June 17th, please email renewedingracecoop@gmail.com or call the office.
